I stared at the beautiful girl who seemed lost in the stars. I froze only for a moment. I looked up at the sky. "Hehe, magical, isn't it?" I chuckled to myself.
"Who's there?" she cried out nervously.
Crap! Did I say that out loud? Let's just roll with it... "Tsk tsk," I said casually, "What's a beautiful girl like you doing, walking alone at night?"
She was spinning in circles, trying to find me. It was actually pretty funny.
I decided to really mess with her, and whispered in her ear, "You never know who else might be out, right beside you, watching."
She let out a small gasp and spun to face me. I was slightly surprised: She was gorgeous. She had brown hair that was pulled back into a ponytail and bangs that framed her face, which seemed to practically be radiating beauty as she stood there, very surprised. However, her most outstanding feature was her amethyst eyes that sparkled from the lights of the stars. I had to keep telling myself to maintain my cool as I stared into the amazing eyes of the beautiful little maiden before me. Stay calm... Stay calm... My heart was racing, standing so close to her.
"Wh-who are you?" she said, not sounding very confident in her words.
"Hehe," I couldn't help but laugh, glad that I wasn't the only nervous one. This was my chance to make my grand introduction and sweep her off her feet! "I'm a prince of the stars," I started, maintaining my cool composure, "Call me-"
"HEY!!!" I was cut off by the girl that lived in the mansion.
CRAP! I had forgotten that I was supposed to be making my escape, not flirting with beautiful young maidens.
The girl came storming out of the house, shouting, "Aren't you that famous thief who warns his victims ahead of time?!"
"Thief?!" the amethyst-eyed maiden gasped.
I flinched. The way she said it made it sound so horrible... I hated it. I sighed, trying to calm myself. "Sorry, it seems I'm a bit pressed for time," I had to say something before I left. There was something in the back of my mind that made me want to make her forget the whole thief part. Something romantic was sure to get her to forget, right? "I have a feeling we'll meet again. It's in the stars."
She blushed. She was so adorable!
I had to leave before I was caught, but the girl from the mansion cut me off. It was only then that her name popped into my head: Lumina. Her name was Lumina. Lumina wasn't about to let me leave without a distraction, though. I found the words, "Hold up, Beautiful," falling out of my mouth and decided to roll with it, "Don't let such raw anger steal away your beauty."
Lumina seemed quite taken aback by my words, blushing furiously.
This was my chance! I strolled away, satisfied with myself.
I headed back to town, unable to get that girl out of my mind. Those amethyst eyes... I found myself longing to stare into them again. I'd have to start coming back to the valley more often. More than anything else, I wanted to figure out that beautiful maiden's name.
When I asked my friends, they insisted that they didn't know and that I'd have to find out myself. They only told me that she had to be the farmer girl. Taking this information, I set about trying to find out more about this farmer girl and found myself sitting in her peach tree, watching her intently.
